Welcome to the team, Rosie and Steph.

We’re delighted to welcome Rosie Samuels and Steph Tyrrell to The Up Group, joining as Head of Marketing & Growth and Head of Events.

Rosie brings a wealth of experience with a strong background in VC, having held senior marketing and platform roles at leading UK venture firms. At AlbionVC, a ~$1bn AUM fund, she worked closely with founders on their scaling journeys, building partnerships and platform initiatives that delivered value across the portfolio. Prior to this, at Pembroke VCT, Rosie led the firm’s marketing strategy, shaping brand, positioning and communications across the business.

At Up, she will focus on strengthening our brand, accelerating growth, and expanding our reach across key European markets.

Steph joins us from Balderton Capital, a multi-stage venture firm, where she spent over six years in the marketing and events team, designing and delivering high-impact events to strengthen the funds’ market presence across Europe, and drive portfolio engagement to support the growth of Balderton’s ecosystem.

At Up Steph will be leading our industry-leading events programme, leveraging our network to bring together senior executives across the UK and European tech ecosystem through our flagship Board Dinners, alongside targeted sector and functional events.
