The Digital Masters Awards 2021 Silent Auction

Our eighth Digital Masters Awards was held at the Tate Modern on the 16th November 2021, where the winners of our twelve Green Cubes were announced at an invitation only ceremony, held to celebrate the individuals who have been true drivers in their field and to reconnect the tech ecosystem.

At this year’s DMAs, The Up Group hosted a silent auction to raise funds for our Digital Masters charity partners: Beam and charity: water.

Beam is the world's first crowdfunding platform that supports homeless people into finding stable work. Through the platform, businesses and individuals can fund job training and remove other financial barriers facing homeless people, such as travel costs and childcare. To date, Beam has crowdfunded over £2.5m in donations, 100% of which helps homeless people pursue work in sectors ranging from healthcare to construction. At the same time, Beam is providing diverse talent to leading scale-up businesses like Zapp, Getir and OLIO.

charity: water is a non-profit organisation bringing safe and clean drinking water to people in developing countries. Their transparent funding model sends 100% of public donations straight to the field, funding sustainable water projects in areas of greatest need and working with local partners to implement them. Since 2006, they have funded 79,136 water projects, helping more than 13.2 million people get access to clean water, hygiene, and improved sanitation.

We would like to thank everyone who donated on the night and are delighted to announce that we have raised a total of £18,124.32!

Many thanks to Superstars who managed the silent auction and enabled us to raise a record amount of funds for our Digital Masters Charity Partners.
