Kick starting the year with our People and Talent Leadership event!

On Tuesday, we hosted our People and Talent Leadership event and were joined by 80 CHROs, CPOs and Talent Leaders from VC and PE funds.

Funds in attendance included: Atomico, EightRoads, Dawn Capital, Accel, Insight, Inflexion, Vitruvian, Advent, Anthemis, Fidelity, Livingbridge, Permira, PSG and Northzone; and companies in attendance included: Airbnb, RatedPeople, Oaknorth, Paysend, Moneysupermarket, Meta, Luno, Kano, Figma, Elvie, Elliptic, Curve, Celonis, Cazoo, Carwow, Atom Bank and AnyVan.

“One of the main factors that will put you on a positive trajectory towards growth and profitability is identifying the things that are important in both the good times and the bad and creating that enduring value proposition.”

Clare Gilmartin, NED, Wise and GetYourGuide

During the event we heard from five incredible speakers who spoke to two broad topics.  The first was the need over the last year for businesses to shift their focus from solely one of growth to also achieving profitability and the impact this has had on leadership as well as the role of the HR function. Secondly, the discussion centred on navigating a hybrid workforce in a post Covid world and how the HR function has had to approach topics such as building engagement, D&I, culture, and leadership in the new world.

“The end goal is to build teams of highly capable and intrinsically motivated people who are stretched and supported. We are upskilling teams on how to reset boundaries and prioritisation, and to identify when stretch becomes strain – and this is key!”

Catrin Anderson, Chief People Officer, Zoopla
