Bringing the FinTech community together once again!

Last night's annual FinTech networking event brought together 100 investors, board members and C’suite executives from across the FinTech and Financial Services sector.

Attendees included: Index Ventures, Augmentum, Touch Ventures, Antler VC, LocalGlobe, HV Capital, Balderton Capital, EQT Ventures, Sprints, DN Capital, Eight Roads, Monzo, Zopa, Tide, Allica Bank, iwoca, Auden, Funding Circle, Pleo, Moneyfarm, Many Pets, Remitly, Pollinate, Azimo, PayU, Marqueta, Virgin Money, Codat and Goldman Sachs.

“If you’re touching someone’s health, education, or money, you’re changing their lives. So, in these tumultuous times, it is vital to lean into your company’s culture, identify the mission and use the focus on customers as a rally cry”.

– Sujata Bhatia, COO, Monzo

The event proved to be a great opportunity for these leaders to connect and discuss the latest developments in the FinTech world.

“Despite the events transpiring over this last week, it is evident that the FinTech industry is going to remain imperative to our population and the demand for FinTech solutions is going to increase. Many companies will emerge out of 2023 that will really disturb the market.”

– Julia Andre, Partner, Index Ventures

The evening began with a welcome speech from Clare Johnston, CEO & Founder of The Up Group, followed by insightful talks from two female industry leaders, Sujata Bhatia, Chief Operating Officer from Monzo Bank, and Julia Andre, Partner at Index Ventures. Both speakers shed light on the current state of the industry, how businesses have had to adapt to the rapidly changing landscape and the huge opportunity ahead for European Fintechs.

“Navigating the current climate can be challenging, but to do so, you need to focus on a small set of goals, identifying what winning looks like, remove the distractions and analysis paralysis and most importantly, over communicate with everyone from your team to your customers. Talk until you’re blue in the face.”

– Sujata Bhatia, COO, Monzo

Given the challenges faced over the last week, the evening was a welcomed opportunity for people to reflect, share learnings and unite as a community. There was a great buzz in the room, a real feeling of positivity, and many valuable new relationships were built.
